Sources : Main saint of the day: the traditional calendar list (the one used by La Poste calendars), taken from William Deren's gladys-fete-du-jour project (Apache 2.0 licence), itself derived from Matthieu Renaut's scriptable-fete-du-jour (MIT licence, © 2023 Matthieu Renaut). Other names celebrated: French Wikipedia, the 366 day pages, “Prénoms du jour” section (or “Saints des Églises chrétiennes” when it is missing), by Wikipedia contributors, CC BY-SA 4.0 licence; each page's authors are in its history.

Changes : Added “Saint” / “Sainte”, removed parenthetical cross-references, discarded variants never or hardly ever given in France, removed names already celebrated on another day from the day's list.

Movable feasts (Easter, Ash Wednesday, Pentecost…) are not in these lists: they never replace the saint of the day. List compiled on 27 October 2026. The exact version of each Wikipedia page used is recorded in the provenance files.
