Some reminders don't need a time, just a place. You describe the location and distance, XNeuronal triggers when you enter the zone, or when you leave it.
The place, rather than the time
“Within a kilometer of home, remind me to bring in the trash” or “within 500 meters of the store, remind me of my shopping list”: you describe the location and distance, XNeuronal monitors the area for you.
Not precise to the meter, and that's intentional: the reminder goes off when you enter the set zone around the location, early enough to be useful. If you don't specify a distance, XNeuronal chooses one appropriate to the intent. It works for groceries, the office, or any place you identify by voice.
Active even when the app is closed
Location monitoring continues to run in the background, even if you haven't opened XNeuronal for several days or if your phone has restarted in the meantime.
The trigger is designed to save battery: location tracking doesn't run continuously, it intelligently wakes up near the places you're interested in.
On arriving, or on leaving
“When I leave the office, remind me to take the parcel.” The reminder can go off when you leave a place, not only when you arrive: that's often when keys, the file or the gym bag get forgotten.
It goes off once, or every time you pass: “every time I get home, remind me to check the mail”. If it only matters at certain times, say so: “on Friday mornings, when I get to the office, remind me to book my days off”. Outside that window, you pass by undisturbed.
An alarm, when you really can't miss it
“Set an alarm for when I get to Reading.” Instead of a simple notification, it's a wake-up ring that loops and rings even when the phone is on silent. Handy for not missing your stop on the train.
A reminder already set becomes an alarm with one sentence, and turns back into a simple notification the same way.
Everything can be fixed afterwards
“Widen the radius to a kilometre.” “On leaving instead.” “Only in the morning.” The existing reminder is changed, never duplicated, and XNeuronal tells you back what it kept.
If the place itself is wrong, “home isn't there, it's at 12 Lilac Street”, XNeuronal corrects the address once and for all. Every reminder attached to home follows, and it tells you how many and which ones. You can also rename a place, “call it the Metz house”, or have it remember a radius for your next reminders.
